Hi I'm Tim Gold,

Cats have always inspired me! I find them to be so adorable, from kittens onwards! They never cease to amaze me!

A Kats constant curiosity is on display for our never-ending amusement, an independent natural personality and unconditional love. It's no surprise I've found these Kool Kats a part of who I am; not only that, but the memory of my own cats, such beautiful and crucial parts of my own family, will live on through my Kool Kats.

The Beginning of the Kool Kats

It all began in 2016, the birth of my Kool Kats began during a studio clean up. I found a pre-gessoed sheet of canvas along with some black paint and created a brushstroke sketch of three cats, then put it aside into a drawer and forgot about it for two years.

When I found it 2 years later, I realized I never sketched out their faces. Luckily, I recalled a design I created from the 1990's from a Graphics Class that I was in. It was of a black cat, having a face with three geometrical shapes, each eye created by having two white dots and a semicircle.

In 2018, I combined these two creations and the Kool Kats were born! The Kats continue today, being in galleries, festivals, classes and now here, on their own website!
